We've put together disnick_bigbang, a big bang challenge for Disney/Nick RPF. (Yes, we have decided to adopt One Direction. We're crazy, we know.) You should all come check it out and play with us!

I don't even know if anybody still comes to this forum anymore, but I'll post this anyway, just in case someone does.

So, all indications are that this is indeed the final season of iCarly. Word is that both Jennette McCurdy and Jerry Trainor are in the process of developing new shows, which they will star in. Sadly, not together.

What are people's thoughts about this? Mine is just a kind of frustration that the show could have been so much more, if the network had put as much emphasis on it as they seem to do for Victorious. Despite the show's huge ratings, Nickelodeon seemed to consider it just a second-class program or something. We get new episodes of Victorious almost every week, yet have to wait 2 or 3 months between new episodes of iCarly. It's no wonder the interest has waned. Plus, the producers' refusal to let the show rise above the middle-school level of interaction and comedy meant that the fan base who made iCarly such a hit moved on.

I'm not sure either Jennette or Jerry can carry a show on their own. They were part of a rare ensemble cast who seemed like a second family to many.
